InactiveI was referred by a friend to make use of the site coinbase to carry out my bitcoin transactions but I really don’t know if it’s a legit site or not, which is why I’m bringing it up for all your notice here and to seek your opinion whether to or not follow the site usage up. Thanks in advance for all your candid suggestions or advice.

KeymasterVery aware of it. Its 100% legit, well known and licensed. Fees are on the high side, but they are the only major exchange that does fiat to crypto.
There are others, such as gemini.com but coinbase is the only one I have personally used.

Inactive@Coins thanks for your recommendation and pointing out the Coinbase is 100% legit. There reason why I was trying to make sure before venturing into Coinbase is because there are lots of fake blockchain exchange that are put out there by scammers looking for who to dupe.

InactiveFor me it looks very genuine.
I had a friend who was very active there and managed to sell and buy Satoshis, but nothing big.
As what I heard from him, he had no problems in dealing with it.
I would say go for it.-

I was told that Coinbase is the best place for new beginners who are yet to join into bitcoin investment to make use of because it’s very easy to use and deals with other cryptocurrency buying and selling.

InactiveI think it’s legit. Some of my friends in bitcoin world recommend this also. A lot of forums about cryptocurrency using Coinbase and they show a lot of transaction from that site and it’s safe, but honestly, I’m not using coinbase, I’m using blockchain, and the other one is coinomi.

InactiveHi guys Is anyone here know the step by step on how invest bitcoin in Coinbase? Or is it available in Philippines because I am also planning to invest bitcoins but I’m afraid to spend some money in sites that I don’t even know. Is there any start up fee? How much fund do I have to deposit? Or any other helpful information can be appreciated.
Thanks guys.

InactiveI actually am using Coinbase and it is legit. What I love about the app is that whenever you login in, it sends a verification on your email, I know it’s a lot of work but it’s their way of checking if the one signing in is the real user thus avoiding hacked wallets.

Inactive@Florenz Ivy Carpio
I read somewhere online that Coinbase uses two-way-authentificaton security check in order to prevent the menace of hackers that are trying to ruin lost of cryptocurrency trading sites.

InactiveYeah, I’ve heard some high figure from crypto saying Coinbase will be The bank from the future.
@albino, first you need to have a fully verified account in Coinbase. After that you need to make a bank transfer to Coinbase. After a day or two the money is there and you just buy the crypto you want. Coinbase does charge a fee, nothing too much though, but it’s something. Let’s say if you buy $100 Coinbase might charge around $5?

InactiveOK. That was a super quick and simplistic explanation of Coinbase. It has been mentioned in lists compiled by others of best exchanges. Now I’m curious to find out if PayPal can be worked into the equation.

InactiveThank you @avsf, but I don’t have a bank account, what I am using online is paypal. Is it okay to use my paypal account to transact in Coinbase or I should open a bank account to be verified?

InactiveI don’t think Coinbase accepts PayPal. Have you checked it out?
You can get verified without a bank account I think, but that is pointless considering you can deposit there.

InactiveI am with coinbase since 2015. I have transacted bitcoins (send and receive) only through bitcoins. When I doscovered wirex, I began using wirex to transact bitcoins. I was attracted towards wirex because it offered bitcoin virtual and real card/ However, card system has been disabled now.

InactiveFirst time I hear about wirex @Vinaya. There is one crypto called Monaco that also enables crypto card payments, have you checked that out?
