There are present day scammers that impersonate the bigwigs in cryptocurrencie like Charlie Lee of Litecoin, Vitalik Buterin Ethereum, and Changpeng Zhao Binance exchange. The scam starts with inviting unsuspecting netizens for a “token giveaway” scheme attached to a famous celebrity tweets. Even twitter handles have difficulties in discovering their identities that the celebrities course of action is to change their twitter account names.
I know that many traders recommend Ethereum but I have not been brave enough to wade into the ETH waters. If I plan to do so I should make myself aware of SCAMS. I had no idea the scammers were being this creative in their methods of luring and deceiving you.
They actually have a website that is called EtherScamDB, and they have a FAQs section that tells you some good tips on how to protect yourself from these scammers. This website was created by the team behind the MyCrypto wallet service for the purpose of tracking online scams that center around the Ethereum platform.
