Can somebody explain cryptocurrency wallets to a complete crypto newbie? Do we have a different wallet for each cryptocurrency? How do we use wallets? And where do we get them? Are there any decent reviews that I should read?

You can keep your coins in an exchange (less safe) or in a wallet (safer); you have net-based, hardware and software wallets. I am not using any lol, as I don’t have a lot of money, so I have almost all in Binance.

It depends on what coins you have. Usually if you go to the coins main website, they will have a supported wallet. If you want a simple wallet, that can hold multiple coins, visit https://www.exodus.io/

The Exodus wallet supports most of the popular coins, and is very easy to use. It also offers good backup security so you don’t have to worry about coin loss.

      Watch this video: https://vimeo.com/172347797
It will show/explain just how the wallet works, in a very easy to understand way.

LOL. Thank @Coins. You’re the man! And I thought @avsf was the man! LOL.

I joined this forum a few weeks ago. But it didn’t take long to learn that both of you are the “GO TO” people at this site.

It really depends on what coins you want to store, but I really like the look and feel of Exodus, and it works with several top coins.

Wallets are a lot of work, so if you don’t have much keeping the coins at an exchange might be better, even more if you want to trade.

If it’s just for longer term hold a wallet is definitely safer.

I don’t own any wallet now. I used to have one where I keep my cards and bills but one time I decided to call it quits for wallets. I just put my bills in my pocket, my ids on a separate holders and I don’t have that bulky feeling inside my pants. Lately though, I want to buy another wallet, a leather one which will last for a long time. I know this is not about cyrptocurrency but you guys should have some things for non-cyrpto forum, like an off-topic discussion thing seen in almost all the other forums, otherwise the site will become too puking pedantic.

Actually there are many different types of wallets for crypto- the hardware wallet which is a hardware USB device that handles private keys and addresses is the safest wallet though, out of all these wallets. These hardware wallets are the way to go if you store your crypto for a long time.

At the moment there are a lot of great wallets and I consides them absolutely safe, because I always have everything in order.

Advise me the safest wallet on which you can store different currencies. I meet wallets with restriction of choice.
