What is Ark?
Ark aims to create an entire ecosystem of linked chains and a virtual spiderweb of endless use-cases that make ARK highly flexible, adaptable, and scalable.

Basically, Ethereum has it’s own blockchain, Bitcoin has it’s own blockchain, but they don’t communicate between themselves. Ark wants to create the bridges to make that communication happen.
Yes, Ark is not just a cryptocurrency,it is a ecosystem intended to accelerate the mass adoption of cryptocurrency. I would say Ark is trying to streamline the transfer of data and communication between different blockchains- and they want to make users able to create their own blockchain with a few simple steps.
