KeymasterWhat is Ethereum Classic?
ETC keeps the Ethereum blockchain unchanged for the community that opposed the hard fork for the return of The DOA funds. Additionally, ETC is not transitioning to proof-of-steak (PoS) unlike ETH.

KeymasterMost developers have left ETC in favor of ETH. I didn’t agree with the ETH split in the beginning, but ETH has grown it has proved to be the ‘real’ (by vote of popularity) Ethereum blockchain. So I would not say ETC is more secure. Once ETH moves to PoS, they will be even further apart, as much different coins.

InactiveI just perused an interesting article on choosing between ETH and ETC and the author concluded: “If you are conservative, then Ethereum Classic (ETC) is for you. But if you like change, then Ethereum (ETH) is the way to go.” The author also indicated that “Ethereum (ETH) … is stamping its authority position as the second largest cryptocurrency.”
The article convinced me to do more research on ETH investing.

InactiveEhthereum classic is a continuation of the original Ehthereum blockchain- its a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts. These are applications that run exactly as programmed, without any possibility of downtime, censorship, or fraud.

InactiveI’m not as positive thinking as you are, for me to use words like “without any possibility of downtime, censorship, or fraud”. I don’t ever believe that any monetary or financial currency or system invented by man is impervious to such things. People said the Titanic wouldn’t sink. Not only did the Titanic but the sister ship sank too!

InactiveI would look at Ethereum Classic with this analogy, and think of Bitcoin as a landline phone- it does one thing very well. Now look at Ethereum Classic(ETC)- this coin is more like a smartphone and can do everything that Bitcoin can do and much more.

InactiveI heard about Ethereum in 2015 when it was priced $8. However, back then I was not interested in acquiring ethereum. My goal was bitcoin. But when I was getting bitcoins, its value increased a lot. It was beyond my reach. That’s how I found out about altcoins – Ethereum. Unfortunately, the price was over $100. I had no choice and I took a loan for a year (online applying utahpaydayloansonline.com ). As you can see now, the price of the Ethereum is over $600, so everything is quite alright.

InactiveThe ETC/USD has been quite bearish in the last 3 weeks of November and the price of this Ethereum Classic(ETC) coin is going to keep falling as well. The 12-day EMA(exponential moving average) and 26-day EMA are both pointing downward, indicating a falling trend.
